As a student, I liked history, but American history seemed to be dull and uninteresting. It was not until the 1990's that I discovered why. It had been perverted, i.e., it had been secularized, stripped of it spiritual vision. There was a pall of death over it. I had become a Christian at about 7 years old, and I also felt an intense admiration and loyalty to America, and to science, which I knew was "American". But I could not put either America or science together with being a Christian -- because I had been taught that America was founded as a secular nation, and that science was a secular thing.
I discovered very early on that science is indeed a very Biblical thing, but it was not until the early 1990's that I viewed the video, America's Godly Heritage, and read Original Intent, both by David Barton, which opened my eyes to the fact that due process in civil law, the principles of our Declaration of Independence and of our Constitution, were right out of Scriptural principles. They could not have been otherwise.
I plan much more writing on this matter. Articles have been published in old issues of Emmaus News, many of which are put together in Reason, Revelation, & Politics, available in the Shopping Mall. See also items in the Politics Library.
Western Christians must recover their public trust in God, and
retake the public arena for God. The alternative is for Western Civ. to
complete its demise, taking with it all we know of political freedom. We
are becoming apathetic slaves on a government plantation. Only
the Biblical worldview can sustain,
not only personal, but
political freedom.

** The Quigley Formula vs. the Jesus Formula -- E. Fox commentary on a talk by G. Edward Griffin on the globalist conspiracy. How will Christians retake Western Civ?
** WITNESS - by Whittaker Chambers... Chambers is one of the great heroes of the 20th century -- leaving the Communist underground to expose the Communist infiltration, standing almost alone through severe Congressional investigations, and writing a stunning book to tell the story.... He understood the spiritual warfare in which he was engaged better than almost anyone of the time. Reading WITNESS is like reading the Lord of the Rings in real time. Yes, there was (still is) an evil empire (see "Conspiracy" files). E. Fox

The Price the Founding Fathers Paid
Was the American Revolution UnBiblical? Brannon Howse.
Frederick the Great on the American Revolution -- Also the President of Yale....
Was Thomas Jefferson a Christian?
John Adams & Jacob Duche' -- John Adams was not an orthodox Christian, but he was not a Deist. He believed that we are both corporately and personally responsible before God, our Creator and Sovereign, and that God very much involved Himself in the affairs of the world. It would be accurate to say that Adams was theologically a unitarian, not a trinitarian, but, in that respect, believing that we owe political obedience and faithfulness to our Creator, was within the Biblical worldview.
American Minute -- clips from history on America's Biblical Heritage -
Patton on Prayer -- Prayer in the trenches --- one of the most famous prayers of WW II. And the thoughts on prayer from one of the best generals.
Deist Minimum - Avery Cardinal Dulles -- on religion of American founding fathers. Was America founded as a Christian nation?
John Adams -- "Duty is ours, outcomes belong to God." John Adams (as opposed to his cousin, Sam) was not a Christian, perhaps more a unitarian, does not sound like a deist (who would not suppose God intervening in outcomes). He was well within the Biblical worldview.
Margaret Thatcher
was born OCTOBER 13, 1925.
She was the first woman Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. While traveling
through New York City in 1996, Margaret Thatcher had an interview with Joseph A.
Cannon, which was printed in Human Events.
She stated: "The Decalogue-Ten Commandments-are addressed to each and
every person. This is the origin of our common humanity and of the sanctity of
the individual. Each one has a duty to try to carry out those
commandments. You don't get that in any other political creed...It is personal
liberty with personal responsibility."
Margaret Thatcher continued: "Responsibility to your parents, to
your children, to your God. This really binds us together in a way that nothing
else does. If you accept freedom, you've got to have principles about the
responsibility. You can't do this without a biblical foundation."
Margaret Thatcher concluded regarding America: "Your Founding
Fathers came over with that. They came over with the doctrines of the New
Testament as well as the Old. They looked after one another, not only as a
matter of necessity, but as a matter of duty to their God. There is no other
country in the world which started that way."
The sad part of her statement is that American Christians never did much, other than occasional statements, to explain why this is true, why we will never have stable freedom except under the law and grace of God. We are hoping to help remedy that failure here in the Road to Emmaus. See Biblical Government & related issues.
Deism & the Declaration of Independence - Interview with David Barton. Was Thomas Jefferson a deist? Did he in his actions show an animosity toward Christianity? What was his theology and Christology?

This is a superb analysis of another facet of the Immigration Problem, and its
connection to the globalist treason being perpetrated upon us -- treason because
it is being done dishonestly, with subversion of public debate -- and because it
is anti-Christ -- the giver of our freedom to begin with.
Will the North American Union be
American Patriots' Last Stand? -- Edwin Vieira -- superb
Constitutional scholar explains the legal status of the
Declaration of Independence.
Pursuit of the North American Union
is, in my humble opinion, nothing short of high treason -- a criminal
attempt to subvert the sovereignty of the United States.
